Dance has been a path of search and reunion with who I am. Folkloric dance as a scenic and academic discipline came into my life since I was 4 years old; Dance, music and traditional manifestations that exist in rural towns are not unknown to me, I have lived with them since I was born as I am also from a peasant family. Thus, moving from the countryside to the city, becoming aware of the differences and values of both worlds, but above all, reflecting on the staging of these dances, an interest in the search and construction of my own artistic identity is born in me. Focusing my work on developing one-person works that, make use of theatrical language and the internalization, exploration and redefinition of elements of different dances and traditional music from Mexico, allow me to tell stories, create worlds and characters of what inhabits me as a human being and meet the other.

I work with a creative team dedicated to the specific development of music, scenery, lighting, costumes and other scenic elements, to create our own aesthetics in each of our works. In this way, my work seeks a staging that contrast from those nationalist representations and imaginaries; understanding these dances and music as living manifestations that need to be lived, understood and assimilated first hand, in order to move towards the field of creation; Betting on a scenic creation in constant dialogue, innovation and reflection with the present.
